Safeguarding for Dental Practices

What are the signs of abuse or neglect?

How should we respond if we have concerns about  a child or  adult at risk?

What are the legal requirements on dental practices?

What policies and procedures should we have to safeguard children and adults at risk?

How can we, as a dental practice, suppport our staff in raising concerns?

This is a practical training workshop to help dental staff address these issues together.

We  offer you a 3 hour combined level 2  workshop on Safeguarding Children and  Adults. This will help your Dental Practice meet the government standards on safeguarding as regulated by CQC.

We will come to your premises at a time to suit you and train all your staff together.

Each member of staff who attends the training will receive a  workbook and a certificate which is verifiable for CPD hours.

“Thoroughly recommended” Jag Shergill –  Principal Dentist

“I have certainly learnt a lot” Nadine – Receptionist

CQC recommend that Safeguarding training is done every 3 years. For our clients who are coming up to the 3 year mark, our refresher workshop revisits Safeguarding for the dental team and explores the subject in more depth. Trinity Training provided an in house refresher course for our large Dental Team. It was an excellent and informative afternoon, updating our existing knowledge on all aspects of safeguarding children and adults. We would definitely recommend this course.”  Nigel Woolfstein – Principal Dentist.

We are now working with  some of our valued dental clients for the 3rd time so we have written a further workshop, rather imaginatively titled “Refresher 2” .  Still covering the CQC requirements for level 2 but also exploring the tricky issues of having a safeguarding conversation with clients and / or their families, gaining consent for a safeguarding referral when appropriate and how to record / report a safeguarding concern.
